Microsoft tries to get writer sacked

Writers beware, is the message here! Imagine a games writer that has been writing for a couple of gaming websites over the past few years only to have the largest software company in the world asking for your head.

But why? Its all down to the Xbox, Xbox live and how to pay for their services, apparently the UK based writer wants to pay in UK pounds and naturally the US based Microsoft want the payments for the Live services in US dollars.

Not such a big deal there, but when Microsoft gets in touch with your employers to stating that there maybe a conflict of interests, because the writer may not be unbiased whenever he writes about the Xbox and associated products, isn’t this just taking things a little too far?
