Drinking a British disease

Its unfortunate but the British are fast becoming the brunt of many opinions, and the one that seems to hurt the most is that fact that we are getting an image of being the binge drinking capital of the world, true there are times and places that suffer from young adults having a good time while out, but is this a true representation of the countries younger people?

Most alcoholic drinks makers promote responsible drinking, and yet whenever the subject arises it would appear that images of drunken youths are being shown, so clearly there is a serious problem and has all the money spent on advertising responsible drinking made any difference, it would seem not, go to any town centre on a Friday or Saturday night and see how the younger members of our society are behaving, it is these images that are sent around the globe and what people see.

In Europe the young people also like to go out, but are they drinking to excess? No it is very rare to see similar behaviour, but to change this we would need to change the influencers like celebrities who also like to drink to excess.
