Woman hit by train

The next time that you are waiting for a train and you feel a little under the weather it is not a very good idea to lean over the side of the platform when you are feely a bit queasy, especially when it is a busy station with trains arriving every few minutes or so.

This is exactly what a 28 year old woman did when she suddenly felt ill, her instincts led her to lean over the side of the platform where she would be less likely to make a mess. However as she leant forward an express train was entering the station at Croydon, London, and despite it braking heavily and sounding the trains horn, the woman was hit in head.

Amazingly the woman survived and was in fact fully conscious when taken to the nearby hospital where it was found that she had suffered a fractured skull and various cuts & bruises.
