Free UK bus travel

Yes it is true, but there is only one slight catch, you will need to be over 60. Because from April 1st next year those folks aged sixty and over will be entitled to free bus travel. What’s new about that then? Well granted they do already get free bus travel, but this is only within the local authority that issues the bus pass.

However due to the government spending £212 million this is now going to extended nationwide, yes as from 1st April 2008 after 9.30 am the buses are going to be packed full of old people. This is a great idea and I do not know why this has not been done before.

I can see these old folks travelling to destinations that they could only dream of, and as we are part of the EU, why isn’t it Europe wide?
