Rats a fashion item in France

It would appear that since the film “Ratatouille” was shown in France, the kids have been demanding their own little rat as a pet, much to their parent’s dismay, no doubt.

Who would have thought that an animated character could become such an icon for kids; I mean what did Disney build its multi billion empire on? As long as films are being directed at the younger children, they are going to want to believe that these characters are real.

Yet in France this has happened and now the rat has become the must have pet, maybe the film companies should be thinking about exactly what animals they choose to be cute and funny!
