Eating out in London is expensive

With property prices at all time high in London, it is only natural that other things should follow suit and in this case it is most definitely true.

In a survey conducted for the Zagat Restaurant Guide London has been found to be the most expensive place in the world to eat, in fact the average cost of a three course meal in the capital will cost £39.09 per head, which is a rise of 2.9 per cent on the year before. In second place comes Paris, their meal cost £35.37 and in third place is the most expensive place to eat last year, Tokyo the meal there cost £35.10.

Surprisingly the people of New York get a great deal, the same meal, with one drink and including service and tax comes in at only £19.30.

Obviously there are good places to eat that are better priced and just as good quality so not everyone has to spend £40 on their lunch!
