Sleep can help your heart

Getting enough sleep is an essential requirement in good health, this is something that most people take for granted as being right. Yet it is now thought that people who are managing to get at least seven hours sleep per night, are actually helping to reduce the potential problems with the heart.

Yet seven hours is the optimum amount of sleep, anyone who gets only five or less hours sleep could be looking at a 70% increase of dying from all causes and twice the amount of risk of being struck by a cardiovascular problem. But sleeping more than seven hours has its risks too. They are twice as likely to die earlier than those who just sleep the seven hours.

This is only one study. There is other research that no doubt disputes these claims.
