Thin models an advertising nightmare
Finally, researchers have come up with the answers that virtually everyone already knew and that is that consumers do not like to see very models in TV and other advertising.
The research found that where images of extremely thin models that are being used to encourage women to buy certain products actually has a reverse effect and can in some cases put some women off from buying the products.
Yet where advertising uses what are called plus size models the effect is the opposite, as these adverts tend to encourage women to buy products, probably because they can relate to these models rather than the extremely skinny ones.
