Amazon cutting back on plastic

For anyone who has bought a memory card, USB flash drive or something similar they could not have failed to notice that the packaging that these small items come in are virtually impregnable and if the buyer had no access to a very strong pair of scissors, then it would be unavailable for a while.

Fortunately there have been complaints from buyers and something that is unusual but very welcome is that Amazon have decided effective immediately that they will no longer be sending out goods in this packaging if the buyer does not want it.

This is a bold move from the company, but will no doubt prove to be a great idea as many people are set against the amount of packaging that sometimes comes when you buy items online. Therefore, from now on there will recycled cardboard and other eco friendly packaging.
