Pope calls for religious Sundays

For a long time now there has been a small movement who are against the Sunday trading and entertainment culture that has developed, but these calls have more or less always fallen on deaf ears. However it appears that the Pope has now spoken out on this subject.

Pope Benedict talking in Austria has explained that Sunday should be a religious day that is dedicated to the god, and not the pursuit of leisure activities.

Maybe he is right, who wouldn’t want a Sunday off, but unfortunately there are a lot of people who have no choice other than to work on a Sunday or because they have been working all week long they have no option but to get their weekly shopping on a Sunday.
