Check out your username

One of the things about registering with a new site is your username; there is nothing worse than having the same username for everything that you do, only to find that when you have to register for a new service your username has been taken.

There is a new application which will check around sixty eight different sites, these are mainly web 2.0 services but nevertheless this tool is very handy, although it has already been used thousands of times and the most popular usernames have already been taken anyway.

This is a great application, although for some people it will only be used once or twice. There are some other problems too. When a site requires a minimum amount of characters, if a username that has less than the required amount is entered is sometimes comes up as available!
