Actors who missed the opening night
The recent release of the latest Batman film The Dark Knight has been shadowed by the death of the actor Heath Ledger who played master villain The Joker. However, he is not the first actor to have died before their latest film was released, far from it:
AALIYAH: “Queen of the Damned.”
JAMES DEAN: “Rebel Without a Cause”
CLARK GABLE: “The Misfits.”
RIVER PHOENIX: “Silent Tongue,”
JEAN HARLOW: “Saratoga.”
SPENCER TRACY: “Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner.”
BRANDON LEE: “The Crow”
BRUCE LEE: “Enter the Dragon.” and “Game of Death”
NATALIE WOOD: “Brainstorm.”
JOHN CANDY: “Wagon’s East.”
TUPAC SHAKUR: “Gridlock’d” and “Gang Related,”
PHIL HARTMAN: “Small Soldiers.”
CHRIS FARLEY: “Almost Heroes,”
GARY COOPER: “The Naked Edge.”
Of course there are many more too, but you have to draw the line somewhere.
