The fifty year old digital TV

A television set made in 1957 that receives digital TV sounds rather suspicious! Well so it should because clearly a TV that in encased in a thick wooden case and sporting a seventeen inch black and white screen is not really going to be made for the digital age.

But for the owner it would have been simply too much to not watch it, just because the country is turning off the analogue signal.

The TV set belongs to Richard Howard who remembers watching it as boy! Fortunately he is a furniture restorer who went ahead and converted the TV to digital, it is believed that this TV is the oldest TV set to be converted to digital and can now receive up to twenty channels.
