Fire destroys famous film sets
The set from some very famous films have been destroyed in a massive fire at the Universal Studio complex in Los Angeles. The site is a huge 400 acres although the fire is to have been contained.
But the set where the “Back to the Future” series of films were made has been destroyed, this includes the famous town square, including the clock tower which played a central role in all of the films.
Also damaged is the King Hong set and more worrying for film historians is the video vault which houses over forty thousand video and film reels; however there are duplicates which are held in a different location.
