Indoor surfer put in coma
A British surfing champion was knocked into a coma while showing off her skills at a leisure centres brand new indoor surfing machine.
The sixteen year old had been asked by the owners of the £32 million leisure complex in Swansea, Wales, and as she posed for the cameras in the publicity shots she somehow slipped and banged her head on a safety wall. She later collapsed at home and slipped into a coma.
It was only after undergoing surgery that she slowing began to recover, but being sixteen she should be preparing for her exams, and yet she is too ill to carry on with that. The girl’s parents plan to sue the leisure centre for several hundred thousand pounds in damages and have already instructed solicitors to take the case.
