Sci Fi series “V” to be remade

Yet another remake of an 80’s sci fi mini series is about to get the go ahead, V the series which was pretty ground breaking at the time, could be coming back as movie, after the efforts of the writer appear to have finally worked out and the ball could rolling.

There were in fact two series of V both of which were a huge success, but unlike other shows it failed to return to either the TV or as many other sci fi show tend to go, down the film route.

But these days things are so different as there are many more platforms for a show to use, especially as there is a dedicated sci fi channel, DVD’s and film channels too.

This means that the huge amount of money that these films cost to make, can easily be realised through the many avenues, whereas before there was only TV and film, which limited the amount of time that channels would be prepared to give over to sci fi.
