Countries that are unsafe for women

It is estimated that there are slightly more women on the planet than men, and despite all of the changes that have happen over the years that have seen women rise to the forefront in many industries and politics too. But even for the ordinary woman in the street they have found that through social networking etc that they have found success.

But this is not always the case in other countries, the problem with the internet and social networking is that this has given women a sense of equality and as travel has become so easy some feel no hesitation to fly off to countries that many other people would not dream to go to.

So what countries are not really women friendly?

Afghanistan
Democratic Republic of Congo
Iraq
Nepal
Sudan
Guatemala
Mali
Tribal border areas of Pakistan
Saudi Arabia

Obviously there are variations and differences, but essentially a woman should not be travelling to these countries on their own or even in a small party.
