How to get fit doing normal things
When it comes to getting fit, a lot of people have good intentions, but the busy lifestyle that many people have today means that going to the gym or spending the odd hour or so doing some sort of exercise is just totally impractical and therefore they carry on the way that they are going until one day they realise that they are seriously overweight.
However there are things that can be done within your normal day, both at home and work that can really make a difference, here are some of them:
Park far away
Take the stairs instead of elevators
If possible, walk or bike to work
Skip the stop
Maximize the benefits from your grocery trip
Take a short walk-break at work
Do your own yard work
Play with your kids
Put on your favourite music and dance
While watching TV, pace or stretch
Choose to walk down instead of call or email
Walk while you talk on the phone
Choose active entertainment over passive entertainment
Choose active vacations
By following just a few of these suggestions could dramatically change you life.
